Twisted Teachers Podcast
In June of 2022, I had the great honor of being the featured guest on the Twisted Teachers podcast. I spoke about my experience of leaving the K-12 education profession unexpectedly and about my passion for diversity and equity in public education and beyond.
Teen Cancer America: National Press Club
As a survivor of brain cancer, I had the good fortune to become involved with the creation of Teen Cancer America- a charity dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents and young adults with cancer. This is a speech that I gave at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. when I was 18 years old. This was around the time of the inception of Teen Cancer America, which has now successfully grown over the last ten years and has helped over 10,000 teens and young adults and their families through their journeys with cancer.
